When the Nebraska football were named among David Sanders’ final teams, many people thought he was being nice and the Huskers weren’t real contenders. And then a weird thing happened. People started talking about how NU really is in the running.

They went from being on the outside looking in, to at least being a contender. And then they went from being a contender to a possible front-runner for the top offensive tackle in the country. Now they’re getting another visit.

That’s not even the punchline. Nebraska football’s presumed starting quarterback, Dylan Raiola wants to make sure that the Huskers don’t miss on their opportunity and he’s calling on the entirety of the Husker fanbase to help reel Sanders in.

“HUSKER NATION!!” Raiola wrote on Twitter Thursday evening. “Let’s welcome David Sanders HOME to Lincoln! Meet us outside the new Tom Osborne complex at 5:15pm tomorrow!! Calling all Husker fans GO. BIG. RED. I’ll be picking him up at Omaha Eppley at 1:30pm. Let’s show him some love!!”

Raiola is tapping into the rabid Nebraska football fan base that would love to see the No. 2 player in the country commit to the Huskers. And it looks like he wants to show the overwhelming support the program has, especially heading into the 2024 season.

Dylan Raiola knows what makes David Sanders Jr. tick

Raiola and Sanders have known each other for quite a while, and the quarterback’s de-commitment from Georgia and commitment to Nebraska has reportedly long intrigued the offensive tackle prospect.

Sanders has said before that the last time he visited Lincoln, Raiola showed him a great time. There was some doubt that was more than kind words, but it turns out he really was impressed.

The quarterback wants to do that again and this time he’s trying to do it with the full weight of the Nebraska football fanbase behind him. David Sanders’ arrival is going to be a sight to see.
