Nebraska basketball looking for talented Robert Morris Dachon Burke transfer to come to Lincoln.

Nebraska basketball is trying hard to be part of the transfer market. Dachon Burke is the Cornhuskers’ next target and he’s set to visit Lincoln this week.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports that the Robert Morris transfer is going to be seeing what the Huskers have to offer on April 25 and April 26. While Burke will have to sit out next season, he could be the kind of guard that could slide in once James Palmer Jr. is gone.

In order for Burke to really replace Palmer, the Huskers’ guard will have to return for the 2018-19 season, though more and more mock drafts are showing that Palmer would have a better chance if he returned for one more season.

The Robert Morris guard showed quite a bit of growth between his first and second year. After averaging just 7.6 points per game in his freshman year, he scored 17.6 points in his sophomore season.

Morris also saw a big leap in his shooting percentage. After shooting just 42 percent from the field his first season, he short nearly 46 percent in his second year.

It’s no wonder why the Nebrasketball team is wanting to get this kid on campus and hopefully steal one away. Miles’ has had good luck when it comes to pulling in transfer players.

Next: Hunter departure another blow to Miles era

Most of those transfers have been bench players that weren’t being allowed to see many minutes with their old teams. If the Nebraska basketball team could land someone like Dachon Burke, it could be a sign of the times and a big step forward when it comes to really competing in a Big Ten basketball conference. That conference is only going to get better in the coming years.
