The Nebraska basketball team is listed as a solid favorite against a very hot Indiana Hoosiers team.

The Nebraska basketball team suffered a massive setback against the Illinois Fighting Illini. Despite that loss, it appears Vegas believes the Cornhuskers are in for a bounce back in Lincoln.

The Huskers opened against Indiana as a three-point favorite and that spread has already jumped to four points. The spread might be a big surprise to those who have been paying attention to the two teams in the last few weeks.

The Hoosiers have won four games in a row and look like they might be headed for the post season. While Indiana isn’t going to the NCAA tournament they might be able to head to the NIT.

Among the last four wins, the Hoosiers have 20 point wins over Rutgers and Minnesota, as well as a 10 point win against Illinois. Indiana’s last win was a bit closer, as they won by just four against Iowa.

Nebraska had been rolling right along having won six in a row. Their last two games however, there have been problems.

Before the loss to Illinois, the Cornhuskers saw a long run where they couldn’t score unless the player shooting the ball was James Palmer. While Nebraska managed to hold on against Maryland, the warning signs were there.

Now the loss to the Illini means the Nebrasketball team really has to take care of their business. Another loss likely completely ends any chance the team has at making the Dance.

With two more home wins on the regular season schedule, the Cornhuskers need to win both. Should they do that, they are likely still in good standing.

A convincing win over the Hoosiers would go a long way. Any kind of win at all will do for the Nebraska basketball team as they look to convince the committee they belong.
