Nebraska Football commit well aware of what he signed up for
On a Nebraska Football team that is returning a lot of pieces, and is excited to add fresh talent, the mantras of working hard and focusing on factors that you can control already appear to be resonating.
A move that is becoming more common is for high schoolers to graduate early so that they can join their college as an early enrollee. One student-athlete looks ready to prepare for the upcoming season as soon as possible.
Nebraska Football Florida Recruiting Efforts
From a report on social media, Brian Christopherson of Husker247, says that Willis McGahee IV is planning on coming to campus for the Spring semester. And despite coming from Florida, McGahee appears to not be concerned about the drastic difference in weather that he is about to experience.
""You get drafted by the Green Bay Packers, what you going to say, 'you don't want to go?'""
- Willis McGahee IV
While weather, and lifestyle are not primary considerations of elite players during their recruiting process, for some, they can make a difference to some. However, for the most part football players are primarily worried about two aspects; chances of competing, and relationship with the coaching staff.
Nebraska football making recruiting strides
From the beginning of his recruiting process , McGahee has been sold on how head coach Matt Rhule is going about rebuilding this Nebraska Football program. With two former teammates, Corey Collier and Dwight Bootle II, already on the team, they made it clear to McGahee that Lincoln was the place to play for his college career.
"They love it up there, they didn't want to go to any other school than Nebraska and they want me there too, they want me to commit. "
- Willis McGahee IV
This quote was before his verbal commitment and eventual signing, and really shows just how good of an impression Rhule is having on players. With more time, and on field success, players will gravitate toward Nebraska football. The program is sleeping giant that continues to show signs of waking up.
