A recent tweet from Nebraska football commit Willis McGahee IV might give Husker fans some optimism that he’s not wavering or looking elsewhere.

The Nebraska football team has been on a hell of a roll recruiting-wise lately. However, while the 2024 class looks locked and loaded, there is at least one commit that has experts and fans alike a bit worried.

Miami’s Willis McGahee IV has been committed since the Nebraska football spring game. He was in fact, one of the first players to commit to the 2024 class. But it’s been a couple of months now where it’s felt as though the Huskers might be losing their grip on the linebacker.

When McGahee took an official visit to UCF, that spooked those around Nebraska football a little bit more. However, at the moment he’s still a commit. He’s in fact, one of the best commits in the 2024 class. And a recent tweet he sent out in celebration of Jacory Barney’s commitment might be a sign that he isn’t wavering after all.

There was lots of celebrating when Barney did commit. Mainly because he was yet another Florida prospect that Nebraska football was able to pull away from Miami and other area schools. Among those reactions was a post of Matt Rhule showing a little love to the new commit by paying homage to his area.

Nebraska football not losing Willis McGahee IV?

The linebacker prospect, who isn’t all that active on social media, was active enough to perhaps send out a positive signal for those wondering if he was still loyal to the Huskers. He quote tweeted the post showing Rhule celebrating and added a simple caption, “Flobraska” with a palm tree emoji alongside a corn cob emoji.

Certainly, that isn’t a definitive statement that McGahee isn’t still looking around and keeping his options open. However, this looks like a step in the right direction for Nebraska football and locking up everyone in what has been an impressive class.
