As former Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball star Keisei Tominaga gets ready for the NBA draft, he’s not resting on his laurels. Usually projected as a second-round pick later this spring, it’s pretty clear the former Husker is doing everything he can to boost his draft chances. That includes working out for as many teams as possible.

Tominaga already worked out  with the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, May 28, and the LA Clippers on Thursday, May 30. Next week, the former Husker will be headed to Chicago to work out for the Chicago Bulls on June 3. One has to think he’ll be booking some more workouts before the draft finally arrives on June 26.

The Sacramento Kings hold the 13th and 45th picks in the 2024 NBA Draft, holding two opportunities to select their next game-changer to take them to the next level. After meeting with ten of the draft's top prospects during the combine, the Kings started looking at who they might pick in the second round. This is where Tominaga fits in.

Tominaga is seemingly a hot name these days thanks in large part to his dominance in the Big Ten tournament. After his efforts helped win a couple of games in that tournament, more than a few national analysts made it clear they were jumping on the Nebraska bandwagon

In his senior year as a Cornhusker, Tominaga averaged 15.1 points per game. Through the Big Ten Conference Tournament and Nebraska's lone NCAA Tournament game, Tominaga averaged 20.7 points per game with 47.9/40.7/83.3 shooting splits.

While he took the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ loss to Texas A&M hard, he’s clearly had a very good offseason. Not only was he named a Nebraska Navy Admiral, but he is engaged to be married. Hopefully, a good draft spot will be the icing on the cake.
