It's been a heck of a month for Nebraska Cornhuskers star Keisei Tominaga. While his basketball career in Lincoln ended with tears of anguish instead of joy, it looks like he's having some fun now that his Husker career is over.
Earlier this month, Tominaga took to his social media account to announce he is engaged to be married to his longtime girlfriend. On Monday, more good news was imparted to the former Nebraska Cornhuskers sharpshooter.
Tominaga was officially inducted into the Nebraska Navy as an admiral. Governor Jim Pillen made the announcement with a post on X showing Tominaga getting the certificate that named him to his position.
For those who don't know, there is no Nebraska Navy thanks to the state being as landlocked as any in the country. Therefore, being named an admiral in this fiction navy has long been a way to celebrate someone's achievements or long career in a fun and lighthearted way.
For Keisei Tominaga, it was one more way for people in the state to show how much they've appreciated his career here. There are few Nebraska Cornhuskers players that have been as beloved as the "Asian Steph Curry" in quite some time.
Like other Husker fans, I'm incredibly proud of Keisei Tominaga's amazing contributions to Nebraska. I was honored to make him an Admiral in our Nebraska Navy and appoint him our goodwill Ambassador to Japan. pic.twitter.com/dvKnsjK9jr

On Saturday, the Nebraska Football team had another of its scrimmages. This was a practice that went so well offensively, head coach Matt Rhule said it was the best offensive day ever. A video of that scrimmage was released on Sunday by the team with the promise that everyone will get to see the Huskers in the final scrimmage of the spring, the Red-White game on Saturday, April 27.

After being selected in the recent WNBA Draft, it's officially time for Jaz Shelley to report to the Phoenix Mercury. Their season gets underway quickly as the first preseason game will tip off on May 7.
Shelley's Nebraska Cornhuskers career officially ended when the Huskers lost in the second round of the NCAA Tournament but now she's saying good to Lincoln. She took to social media to announce she was leaving.
It will be quite fun to see just what she can do in her rookie season.
