Nebraska football fans were already excited enough to see Dylan Raiola putting on the pads in Lincoln this fall. Now they'll get to see him do just that a bit earlier. Although this will be the digital version of Dylan Raiola and the virtual version of the Huskers.

On Tuesday night, Raiola took to his Instagram account to announce that he's "in the game." The announcement means that Raiola is officially going to be in EA Sports College Football 25. The post also signifies the first Nebraska football player to formally announce his involvement with the upcoming title.

It's a safe bet that Raiola is actually one of many. These particular announcements tend to be with some of the bigger names in college football. For instance, Notre Dame football has had just two players, Riley Leonard and Benjamin Morrison, make the same announcement so far.

For Raiola, Nebraska football and video game enthusiasts who have been lamenting the loss of the NCAA Football series for years, it marks another step forward. EA Sports College Football 25 developers have been relatively tightlipped about the game, but info is slowly starting to flow out.

Last week was an especially busy one as Electronic Arts announced it had officially launched the initiative to get players to sign NIL deals that allows them to be represented in the game. Each player who signs the deal will get $600 and a copy of EA Sports College Football 25 on either the Xbox or PlayStation.

We also learned last week that there are going to be 7 or 8 broadcasters in the game, though there are at least some who believe the choice of broadcasters is a bit flawed.

While we now know that Dylan Raiola will represent Nebraska football in EA Sports College Football 25, we also know that his head coach won't be involved. EA Sports also announced last week that real like coaches aren't included in this year's version. Though they did leave the door open for that changing in future editions.
