On Thursday, the video game-loving public got quite a bit of new information about what all is going to be included in EA Sports College Football 25. That included confirmation that the Nebraska football team and every other FBS school will be in the game when it launches this summer (most likely July).
However, it wasn’t just football teams that confirmed they would be a part of the restarted NCAA Football video game series. Several ESPN personalities also took to social media to announce they would be involved somehow. But one long-time sports broadcasting personality thinks developer Electronic Arts missed a golden opportunity.
Holly Rowe took to Twitter to ask the video game giant why, despite the fact that Chris Fowler (Commentator), Kirk Herbstreit (GameDay + Commentator), Desmond Howard (GameDay), Rece Davis (GameDay)David Pollack (GameDay), Kevin Connors (Studio Host) and Jesse Palmer (Commentator) confirmed they’re in the game, there are no female broadcasters included.
“How about including some women @EASPORT,” Rowe wrote.”30 years on the college football sidelines.”
Not long after she posed the question to the EA Sports College Football 25 developers, several of her followers chimed in that there were some other names in addition to Rowe that would make excellent additions to the game.
“I just assumed you and Maria Taylor would be in it,” one fan wrote. “Pretty big miss on EA’s part.”
“I don't think she does college football,” posted another. “But Lisa Salters would be a good idea to include in the game.”
ESPN personality wants some diversity in EA Sports College Football 25
It is of course possible that all the broadcasters who are going to be involved in the upcoming video game haven’t been announced yet. Until very recently there was almost nothing known about EA Sports College Football 25.
Nebraska football fans can at least take solace in knowing they’ll almost certainly get to go under center with the likes of Dylan Raiola, should the mood strike them just ahead of the real regular season.
