Now that Ty Robinson has put the Nebraska football program in the rear view mirror and is ready to begin his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, he’s realizing there is one thing that the two programs have in common.
It’s something that other former Huskers should be able to agree with. One has to think that when Robinson arrived at the Eagles’ compound, the first thing he and former Nebraska teammate Cam Jurgens were able to agree on is that both fanbases are extremely locked in and quite passionate.
Ty Robinson says Eagles fans remind him of passionate Nebraska football crowd
Robinson took his first turn at the mic as a member of the Eagles during the team’s rookie minicamp and was asked what he found that was familiar between Nebraska football fans and fans of the Eagles. It took him no time at all to arrive at an answer:

Ty says he's already used to one aspect of the Philly culture...
"How crazy and dedicated the fans are...something I'm used to with Nebraska." pic.twitter.com/7k0pYKBoP3
“How crazy and dedicated the fans are to their teams here. It's definitely something I've been used to with Nebraska since they all love their football there, so I'm excited to embrace that part of the culture as well with the fans.”
It’s worth pointing out that in many ways, the dedication that Cornhuskers fans have towards their team can be a real boon in preparing players for the next level. NFL fans can get a little carried away with their traditions and their fandom but people who root for the Eagles have long been looked at as something on a whole other level.
It’s not every group of fans that can take pride in the fact they once booed Santa Claus. And while Husker fans pride themselves on being among the best and nicest in the sport, they also just want to win.
Nebraska football fans essentially have given Robinson, who was drafted in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, a crash course in how to deal with people who follow a player’s ever move.
