Ty Robinson teammate gets thrilling surprise on NFL Draft Day

So far, the NFL Draft hasn’t gone as well as the Nebraska football program had hoped. Matt Rhule and company were hoping that several players would get picked in the middle rounds and so far, Ty Robinson has been it.

As we steam towards the last round on the last day, there are plenty of Huskers that are starting to turn their attention to undrafted free agent opportunities. That makes Robinson’s story that much better.

Cam Jurgens’ priceless reaction to Ty Robinson’s Eagles pick is peak Nebraska pride

The former Nebraska football defensive star was taken in the 4th round of the draft and there were plenty of people celebrating, including some of Ty Robinson’s former coaches. However, one former Husker teammate got some very good news, as he’ll be reunited with his old mate on the Philadelphia Eagles and Cam Jurgens found out in the funnest way possible.

Fresh off signing a monster deal with the Eagles and celebrating a Super Bowl victory, Jurgens was appearing at a fan meet and greet and was on stage asking questions when one member of the audience gave him the news.

The fan was the first to break the news to Jurgens that another former Husker was drafted by the Eagles and the offensive lineman immediately whooped with excitement and pulled out his phone, saying he needed to send Robinson a text of congratulations.

The incident was especially fun because it will be the second time that Jurgens and Robinson team up. The two played together during the Scott Frost era as the center played for the Huskers for 2018 to 2021 and the defensive lineman played with NU (thanks to the COVID year especially) from 2019 until this past season.

The Eagles have never been shy about having a couple of Huskers on the roster but Robinson has got to be especially excited to be joining Jurgens in Philly this year. The offensive lineman can certainly afford to buy when the ex-Nebraska football stars go out to dinner to celebrate their reunion.
