So far on Saturday, the Nebraska football team is still waiting for its first player to be taken in the NFL Draft since 2023. There was at least some hope that defensive lineman Ty Robinson would get selected in the third round on Friday night but it was not to be.

As Saturday kicks off and things start moving rather quickly, Pro Football Focus’ list of the Top 100 players left is already getting picked over. However, the two Huskers included on that list are, at this moment, still available for anyone interested in grabbing them.

Two Nebraska stars still looking for a home as NFL Draft moves into final rounds

The aforementioned Robinson is the highest ranked former Nebraska football star to make the list. He is the No. 31 player on that list, and was ranked as the No. 120 player on the PFF Big Board. Should the site be accurate, that would mean Husker fans can expect Robinson to go somewhere in the middle of the fourth round.

While Robinson is headlining the defense, another Cornhusker is at the top of the list on the offensive side of the ball. Thomas Fidone has intrigued several NFL onlookers and the right end is listed at No. 86 on the list.

He’s also No. 184 on the PFF Big Board, which has him landing in the sixth round.

Perhaps the worst news of all if this holds true, is that it means there simply won’t be that many Nebraska football players who get drafted. There was some hope that several, maybe even as many as four could get selected. However, the shift and now the wait seems to be making far fewer getting taken a reality.
