While the Nebraska football program knew that there were going to be some good players entering the portal this year, fans were pretty dismayed when wide receiver Malachi Coleman decided to look for greener pastures.

If those greener pastures happen to be in Minnesota, it’s a safe bet that some Husker fans will be mighty unhappy. And it’s looking more and more like Minnesota might be exactly where Coleman winds up.

The former Nebraska football wide receiver is visiting schools in order to try and narrow down the program he’ll end up with. One of those visits is to see what PJ Fleck and the Golden Gophers have to offer. And for now, it looks like Coleman has liked what he’s seen.

Coleman has tweeted out a couple of different posts about visiting the Golden Gophers. He sent out a post when he arrived on the visit that seemed to relay he was pretty excited to take it all in.

Now that’s been on that visit for a few days, he also tweeted out a question to the masses asking if he should choose the Gophers.

For those that have come to terms with Coleman going elsewhere but who might still have a problem with him ending up in Minnesota, there is some hope. Recruiting experts believe that Boise State, Iowa State, Michigan State and several other schools are still in the running.

It’s a safe bet that most Nebraska footbal fans would simply like Malachi Coleman to leave the conference if he’s leaving the Huskers.
