Nebraska football long ago marked this weekend as a massive one for its recruiting efforts, especially in locking up a Top 25, and potentially Top 15, 2027 class. Now, just one day before the festivities officially begin, it's entirely possible the Huskers could finish the weekend with quite the collection of commitments. Even those who don't necessarily commit to this weekend's visit, like Albert Simien, could certainly be pushed toward playing their college ball in Lincoln.
Over the last week, the Cornhuskers have received several analyst predictions for commits. On Thursday morning, On3's Greg Smith joined the crowd in offering up "crystal balls" about where he believes several of head coach Matt Rhule's top targets will commit. Should the analysts be correct, the recruiting heater that started in May will explode this month.
Right at the top of the list for Smith is 4-star defensive back Jailen Hill. The St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA) star got a whole bushel of On3 analysts predicting him to Nebraska back in April, but he hasn't pulled the trigger yet. On Thursday, Smith joined the growing chorus with his own prediction that screams the Top 300 Rivals player is Lincoln-bound sooner, rather than later.
Hill is joined by another 4-star defensive back, Bryce Williams, among Smith's predictions. Like Hill, Williams already has several analysts believing he'll eventually play college ball in Lincoln. However, Smith's new prediction - again like Hill - could mean that the Western High (Fort Lauderdale, FL) defender is very close to pulling the trigger.

Jailen Hill, Bryce Williams and Matthew Gregory have Nebraska football building major buzz
Likewise for 4-star wide receiver Matthew Gregory. The Owen J. Roberts (Pottstown, PA) wideout is in the Rivals Top 100 players in the country, and first got a trio of predictions towards Nebraska last month. On Thursday morning, Smith not only joined the crowd but also put in a 70% certainty score. With the usual score around 60%, it seems Gregory is ready to pledge to the Huskers this weekend.
One pair of predictions out of the group might be the most "out of left field" of the bunch, though Errol Demontagnac was predicted to the Huskers back in March by Bryan Munson. On Thursday, he was joined in that prediction by both Smith and another analyst, Tim Verghese, who both gave the 3-star defensive lineman out of Armwood (Seffner, FL) a 65% chance of picking Rhule and Co.
Among those who didn't receive a new official prediction for Nebraska who are visiting Lincoln this weekend, Albert Simien is right at the top of the list. The No. 13 overall prospect in 2027 will visit the Huskers for the fifth time in early June. At the moment, most recruiting experts see Texas A&M as the team to beat, but the NU staff isn't wasting the opportunity. Offensive line commit Timi Aliu even rescheduled his official visit plans so he could be on campus when Simien arrives to do a little peer recruiting.
There's also Nehemiah Ombati, who technically didn't receive a prediction from Smith on Thursday but did receive one from colleague Bryan Munson on Wednesday.
The wild card of the bunch for Nebraska continues to be Utah defensive lineman Ma'atoe Moe, who committed to the Minnesota Golden Gophers late last month but has said he won't make a "final" decision until his visit this weekend. It certainly sounds like the flip chance is still very much there.
