There isn’t much known about EA Sports College Football 2026 yet, but if a Wednesday night leak is any indication, not only will Nebraska football fans be able to play as Dylan Raiola, but they’ll also be able to see Matt Rhule roaming the sidelines.
That would be a big change from last year’s version, which didn’t include real head coaches. However, a leak of the Deluxe Edition cover of EA Sports College Football 26 included several coaches in the photo shoot.
While no one on the Nebraska football team is on the cover - and that’s far from a surprise - Penn State head coach James Franklin and Georgia head coach Kirby Smart were prominently featured. It seems unlikely that they would be on the cover of the game, if they weren’t also in the game.

Nebraska football could be more involved in EA Sports College Football 2026
Shortly after the cover was leaked on social media, On3 did issue a report that confirmed several coaches were involved in the leaked photo shoot and will be on a couple of different editions of the game.
“EA College Football plans to release multiple covers in 2026, sources said, explaining why so many athletes were in Pasadena. That will also reportedly include a coaches’ cover, with Ohio State’s Ryan Day, Georgia’s Kirby Smart, Penn State’s James Franklin, Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin, Oregon’s Dan Lanning and Arizona State’s Kenny Dillingham participating.”
It is possible that only some coaches will be in the game. And that any will actually have a digitzed version of themselves hasn’t been confirmed.
However, EA Sports is well aware that one of the top wishlist items on this year’s version of the very popular title is to have real coaches. It would seem rather odd to include the coaches like this if they weren’t also in the game.
Now we’ll need to wait and see if it's everyone and if that means that Matt Rhule will be leading the Nebraska football team into the digital version of Memorial Stadium.
