Chase Loftin hasn’t pulled the trigger on a flip from the Florida State Seminoles to the Nebraska football team just yet. However, there are few people in the recruiting world who don’t think he will at some point.

As his senior season at Millard South came to an and, the tight end demonstrated the total picture that has made him so attractive to not just the Huskers but the entirety of college football.

Loftin is fresh off a state championship alongside his Millard South teammates. And while that is always the ultimate goal, it’s the numbers he put up en route to helping his team win the whole deal is why the Nebraska football team is still working on winning over the talented in-state prospect by National Signing Day.

In all, Loftin finished the 2024 campaign with one of the best offensive seasons for his position in Class A. The tight end completed the year with a whopping 57 catches for 837 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Those numbers are just part of why the Cornhuskers are going hard after the top player in the state. It’s also why just about every major program in the country was hoping to win him over.

The Florida State Seminoles are still hanging on at the moment, despite a season in which they could finish 2024 with a 2-10 record. However, most recruiting analysts believe Loftin will eventually flip and sign with the Nebraska football team when the smoke clears on the 2025 class.
