The Nebraska football team is officially ramping up its initial push for the 2026 recruiting class and that includes being named in the Final 7 for the best player in the state of Colorado.

The Huskers still have a ways to go in order to land Camden Jensen but when it comes to getting their foot in the door, it appears they did that as well as busting the door open. Now Matt Rhule and company just need to find a way to keep the door open, walk through it and walk back out with a commitment from the 4-star tight end.

In order to do that, the Nebraska football team is also going to have to fight off some very impressive Power 4 programs. Florida, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Texas A&M, UCLA and Washington are Camden Jensen's top seven college football programs. One program that isn’t in that list certainly stands out and might make the fight for Jensen just a little bit easier in the long run.

Nebraska football makes the Final 7 for Colorado’s top player

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound Jensen is ranked as 247Sports' top player in Colorado and also sits as the nation's No. 210 overall recruit and No. 13 player at his position.

On3 also ranks him as the top player in his state and the No. 10 tight end in the class.

On film, Jensen could remind Nebraska football fans a bit of Thomas Fidone, who is already working hard to make his way to the NFL. Should he walk in this footsteps it’s clear why the Huskers would want to land him.
