Ty Robinson isn’t with the Nebraska Cornhuskers anymore but he still feels right at home. He appeared at the Eagles rookie minicamp this weekend and talked about the fact that while he’s not playing for the Huskers, he feels like NU and the Eagles’ fans are very similar.
Both fanbases are deeply dedicated to their teams and don’t take it all that well when they lose. Robinson has only gotten a taste of it so far, but it sure seems like playing so many years in Nebraska has prepared him for what’s coming in Philly.
Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball splits with Minnesota
The Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball team continues to be one that can’t quite find consistency. On Friday night, the Huskers rallied to tie the game in the 9th inning, but ended up losing in the 10th.
On Saturday, Will Bolt’s squad did get a win against Minnesota and are now going for a series win. The split means that NU is still one game under .500 on the season and hasn’t managed to gain any ground in the Big Ten standings. That’s an especially big problem considering the Huskers need as many wins as possible to get an at-large bid. There’s also a chance they could miss the Big Ten Tournament if they lose enough.
Trae Taylor working on peer recruiting
The Nebraska football team got itself one of the best quarterbacks in the 2027 class. And as it turns out, he’s well aware that he needs some talented teammates. That’s why Trae Taylor has been working hard on making sure other 2027 athletes are looking the Huskers’ way.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have started off their 2027 class quite well and it looks like at least part of that peer recruiting could be offensive lineman Reis Russell. The top Colorado prospect is quite taken with Nebraska and having such a talented quarterback could definitely help.
