The Nebraska Cornhuskers continue what has been a wild ride of a 2025 season on Friday afternoon when Jackson Brockett - one of the heroes of the Big Ten Tournament run - takes the mound in the second game of the Chapel Hill Regional. Brockett will face off against the Oklahoma Sooners, hoping to keep the Cinderella magic going just a little bit longer.

NU will face off against an OU team that has some staunch pitching, so the Huskers will need to find a way to come up with offense in a similar fashion to how they did on their way to their second straight Big Ten Tournament championship. They’ll also need Brockett and company to come through on the mound like they did last weekend.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will also get a clear picture of who they’ll play on Saturday. North Carolina will open regional play against Holy Cross at noon. The Huskers and Sooners will then face off at 4 p.m. with the two winners and the two losers clashing in Game 3 and Game 4 on Saturday.

Lavonte David is blown away by Nebraska Cornhuskers facilities

Nebraska legend Lavonte David recently went back to Lincoln to see the facilities the Huskers have to offer for the first time in quite a while and he was absolutely blown away by what he saw.

Speaking to Mina Kimes of ESPN he even sounded a little jealous at times.

"I visited a couple weeks ago," the Nebraska football legend said. "I haven't been up there in a very long time and I was lost to honest with you. I went to the old football building and they were like, 'no, the football building is this way.'

Huskers playing Minnesota on Friday night

Several Nebraska Cornhuskers kickoff times and networks were announced on Thursday for the fall and one stood out among the crowd. It turns out they’ll have to go up against Minnesota on the road, on Friday night. That means they’ll be playing the game just six days after Maryland. It’s a tough game with little prep time and will be a bigger issue when more people are paying attention to the situation.
