The Nebraska Cornhuskers are getting ready for the third season of Matt Rhule's reign, but there are times when it's hard to forget past failures. That includes the abysmal seasons that were the Scott Frost era.
It makes sense, considering he's back in coaching over in the Big 12 at UCF. That job got him to Lincoln and set the Huskers' program back several years.
Frost continues to be in the news, most recently in the Omaha World-Herald, because of his comments that he won't talk about his old job with the Nebraska Cornhuskers while talking about it in a roundabout way.
Nebraska Cornhuskers finalize OU showdown
The Nebraska basketball team has officially locked down a showdown with an old rival. Fred Hoiberg's squad will play the Oklahoma Sooners this coming season, but it won't be in Lincoln or Norman. Instead, the two former Big 12 rivals will face off in South Dakota at the Sanford Pentagon on November 15.

Locking in a visit with a 4-star corner
The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team has locked in an official visit from one of the best cornerbacks in the 2026 class. They're also in the final four alongside Texas A&M, Penn State and Oregon.
Camren Hamiel is coming to Lincoln in June, but even before he takes that trip, the Huskers are considered a front-runner in landing his services. NU has started to reel in commitments after a long, quiet period. His would be one of the biggest.
Matt Rhule popping up everywhere
Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Matt Rhule travels all over the country doing fun things. The latest appearance was on Victory Lane after Kyle Larson won a race at the Kansas Speedway. It's an interesting approach to keep NU's name in the headlines and ensure recruits know exactly what he looks like while understanding the man knows how to have fun. It's a good advertisement for Nebraska.
