The Nebraska Cornhuskers are going to be sparking up an old rivalry with the Oklahoma Sooners, however fans aren’t getting everything they want. The rivalry isn’t on the football field but rather on the basketball court.
On Wednesday, the Huskers and Sooners announced they’re planning to do battle on the court on November 15. They’ll meet in a neutral site game at the Sanford Pentagon, according to Jon Rothstein.
Nebraska Cornhuskers sitting and waiting for revenue sharing ruling
The Nebraska Cornhuskers thought they were going to finally get a ruling on how revenue sharing and roster limits will work in 2025 and beyond. However, the two sides who reached a settlement in House vs NCAA offered an amended agreement that doesn’t do what the presiding judge wanted.
Now there’s more waiting to see what happens, with the judge allowing for critics of the settlement to issue their own filings. It appears we won’t know anything more until after May 16. Meanwhile, the football season edges ever closer.
Nebraska basketball scores a big commit
The Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball team got a big addition to its 2025 recruiting class both literally and figuratively. Fred Hoiberg’s squad scored a 7-foot-1 center from Iceland who was among the top prospects in his class.
Fridrik Leo Curtis would in fact, be the highest ranked high school commit Hoiberg has landed at Nebraska in On3 recruiting rankings. He was oriignally committed to Arizona State before opening things back up and getting offers from schools like Creighton and West Virginia. He’s just the second high school commit in this class for the Huskers.
