Never let it be said that Nebraska football head coach Matt Rhule doesn't understand recruiting. The man knows how to get his name and face out there nationwide. He knows how to get people talking about him and, by relation, the Husker program. He knows how to do it with style and appears to be having a lot of fun.

Earlier this month, Rhule and his star quarterback, Dylan Raiola, appeared at a WWE event, and the mission was definitely accomplished. ESPN talking head Pat McAfee singled Raiola out for going to the pro wrestling match and being a "rising star" in the college football ranks. Over the weekend, Rhule made a solo appearance but still got plenty of eyeballs and mentions.

Matt Rhule’s media tour keeps Nebraska football front and center for recruits

The Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach took in the Kansas Speedway on Sunday. When Kyle Larson was able to win the spring race by the slimmest of margins, Rhule somehow ended up getting himself in several pictures on victory lane and being videoed briefly chatting with the victorious racer and shaking hands before he quietly departed.

It is unclear why Rhule was there or how he worked his way onto the stage. At this point, the Huskers coach is involved in a rather impressive version of Where's Waldo or Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?

Between popping up at the WWE, this NASCAR race, and the Kentucky Derby earlier this spring, Rhule is making the rounds. Wherever he pops up, he draws headlines and attention. The Nebraska football head coach is doing this for more than himself. It keeps the Cornhuskers in the headlines and can be a big boon regarding name recognition and recruiting.
