A new report surfaced on Wednesday night that claims that the Big Ten might be looking for exciting ways to raise capital. While Nebraska Cornhuskers fans might like the idea at first glance, especially since the plan is said to be bringing about $2 billion to the conference.
However, since the deal would bring private capital investors into the fold and make it so that the conference would be beholden to people not remotely invested in the conference otherwise, there has been some pushback. Some warn about taking on any debt to these kinds of investors.
One such person, who could be leading the charge to save the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the rest of the conference, is a Michigan Regent. Jordan Acker has gone on the record saying he will not accept this deal and wants to make sure that other schools say no as well.

Dana Holgorsen believes Nebraska can take the next step
Huskers offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen is very aware of critics of NU talking about how the close loss to Michigan is just the "same old, same old." However, he believes the team still has a very real chance to take a big step in the right direction.
"I've never seen [practice] like that in a bye week," Holgorsen said. "Man, I am thrilled to see what it looks like on Saturday."
