The Nebraska Cornhuskers have been working hard on the 2027 recruiting class. Those efforts have paid off in a lot of impressive visits and a lot of impressive players listing the Huskers near the top of their favorite schools.

The latest player to do this is running back Isaiah Rogers. He took in the Michigan game and despite the fact that the Huskers suffered a close loss, he was plenty impressed by what he saw.

"Nebraska did make a big impression on me," he said. "It was my first game, and I love the game day atmosphere. Even outside of campus, the whole town was about the game. As soon as I arrived, even at the hotel, it was huge. The entire town is ready for the game, and it was awesome to see... they’re definitely high on my list. They’ve always been up there because they’ve stayed consistent, kept reaching out, and made an impression on me. They’re a great team with great coaches, and after this experience, they’re definitely high on my list."

Matt Rhule has a secret plan for his backup running back spot

During his Monday press conference, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule made it clear that he and his staff believe they've come up with a plan for their RB2 position. However, he's not spilling the beans on what that plan is.

Rhule said he's not going to comment on just what they've come up with until the game kicks off on Saturday. Husker fans will find out the same time that Michigan State does. That's of course, the right way to do things, but some fans were a bit annoyed at his cloak and dagger approach.
