Nebraska football's hot streak regarding the 2027 recruiting class continued over the weekend when offensive lineman Jayden Dean named the Huskers in his top schools.
Dean is a rising prospect in the 2027 recruiting cycle and has caught the attention of multiple Power Four programs, including ACC stars Clemson Tigers and SEC powerhouse Oklahoma Sooners. Big Ten rival Oregon is also hot on his trail. In all, he has 38 offers and has decided it's time to cut down the schools he's considering.

This weekend, Jayden Dean announced on social media the 12 schools he's still considering. In addition to Nebraska, he is also considering Oklahoma, Oregon, Michigan, Florida State, Louisville, West Virginia, Michigan State, Ohio State, USF, Syracuse, and Kentucky.
The Huskers are hoping to land the offensive lineman, but it's clear they have a fight on their hands with the Ducks, especially.
"I went up there on a visit two months ago. I talked with [offensive line] Coach Terry, who offered me. He’s a great guy, a Dade County native. The relationship with their players outside of football is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen… When those boys are done with football, they have a spot on the coaching staff. So they don’t have to step away from the game of football for real," Dean said about his recent trip to Eugene.
The next step will be securing several visits from Jayden Dean and showing the offensive lineman what the Nebraska football team has to offer. In doing so, Matt Rhule and Co. can keep their hot streak going.
