As the Nebraska football team continues to be a favorite for some of the best players in the 2027 class, that list continues to include running back Isaiah Rogers as "extremely interested."

Rogers took in the Huskers on a recent visit, and everything he saw only underlined why he's got NU so high on his list of schools. It helps that running backs coach EJ Barthel is also showing him the love, paying special attention and a special visit to the 2027 recruit's high school.

Isaiah Rogers praises game day atmosphere, Nebraska football coaching staff

In coming to see Nebraska during the Michigan game, Rogers was able to see how starter Emmett Johnson and red-shirt freshman Mekhi Nelson, who played at Oakdale (N.J.) St. Thomas More played and was used in the marquee matchup with the Wolverines.

Rogers has been to Lincoln twice so far this year. He also visited on April 26 for an unofficial visit. Penn State is also a notable team, as he has visited them twice. With that being said, he was impressed with his experience in Lincoln.

"Nebraska did make a big impression on me," he said. "It was my first game, and I love the game day atmosphere. Even outside of campus, the whole town was about the game. As soon as I arrived, even at the hotel, it was huge. The entire town is ready for the game, and it was awesome to see... they’re definitely high on my list. They’ve always been up there because they’ve stayed consistent, kept reaching out, and made an impression on me. They’re a great team with great coaches, and after this experience, they’re definitely high on my list."

The running back is the 149th overall player nationally in the 2027 class. He is the 12th overall running back in the class, and the second overall player from the state of Massachusetts, according to the Rivals Industry rankings. He is a four-star back.

There's still a long time until Isaiah Rogers can sign with Nebraska, but it's clear the program has made an impression and will be among the favorites all the way until next signing day.
