Nebraska Football: Reactions to the Matt Rhule rumors
There’s all kinds of talk that Matt Rhule is going to be the next head coach of the Nebraska football team. For what feels like the 4th or 5th time, some people think that he’s just hours away from signing the deal. It’s even possible he already has signed that deal and the Huskers are just waiting until after the Black Friday game to announce it.
There are also people that are very excited about the potential for the former Carolina Panthers to take the helm. There are others who are suffering from some misgivings considering just how disastrous his time in the NFL was.
No matter the take, what’s very clear is that Nebraska football and Matt Rhule are the talk of the college football world.
Social media has been abuzz talking about the potential team-up. And more often than not, people are sure that it’s going to go from “potential” to “official” in short order.

Some fans took the time to talk not only about Matt Rhule, but also another Nebraska football candidate in Luke Fickell.
Others are excited about the potential hire and the staff he might bring with him when he makes the trek to Lincoln.

Some people, including local media personalities, are less than enthused by the idea of Matt Rhule and Nebraska football.

Others had a bit of run with the idea of the former Baylor and Temple coach landing in Lincoln. And still others were going to the source of what and who could make the coach sign on the dotted line when the contract was presented to him by athletic director Trev Alberts.
Until the Nebraska football team announces a hire, whether it be Matt Rhule or someone else, the rumors will continue spinning up on social media. The good news is that the rumors are going to come to an end one way or another soon.
