Nebraska recruiting efforts have landed them a JUCO defensive tackle this week. Now the staff has turned its attention to Indiana’s best player.
Nebraska recruiting has been on a real roll the last few days. The Huskers got the commitment of two defensive linemen, and an inside linebacker since Friday.
it appears the recent success has Scott Frost and the rest of the coaching staff aiming high for 2020. The Nebraska football team offered Cole Brevard on Monday, who is going to be one of the most sought-after targets in the entire class.
Brevard is ranked as the best player in Indiana, and the seventh best defensive tackle in the 2020 class. He’s also the 102nd ranked player in the entire class, according to 247Sports.

Despite it being a while before Brevard can sign on the dotted line, he’s already boasting 13 offers. Since he hails from Indiana, it should surprise no one that the Big Ten has been quite active in pursuing the player.

Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa, Michigan, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Purdue have all offered Brevard. Notre Dame and Tennessee are some of the Power 5 offers outside the B1G Brevard boasts.
A 4-star player by 247’s composite rankings, the defensive tackle took a spate of visits this spring but has been relatively quiet over the summer. That quiet period is ending in just a matter of days as he’s expected to take an unofficial to Michigan.

Nebraska recruiting gurus are certainly aware of the need for the Cornhuskers to get stronger up front. The Nebraska football team certainly has some time, but they need to at least get him on campus in the very near future if they want to continue to have any real shot with the highly-touted prospect.
