Nebraska basketball gets third commit of 2018 class
Karrington Davis is a SF/SG out of Missouri and the third 3-star prospect in Nebraska basketball class.
The Nebraska basketball team got a commit from a small forward/ shooting guard out of Missouri in Karrington Davis. Davis had visited Lincoln on February 24 and apparently really liked what he saw.
Just a little over a week later, Davis decided he wanted to be a Cornhusker. While the 6-6 prospect wasn’t the most sought-after prospect on the board, the schools that were after him are well-known basketball programs.
Davis chose the Huskers over Kansas State, Middle Tennessee State, and Saint Louis. Kansas State is likely headed to the NCAA Tournament, MTSU has become a perennial tourney contender and Saint Louis is a well-known program that’s a bit down these days.

While Davis has been playing small forward in high school, it appears he might be projected to be more of a shooting guard in college. If he does make the shift, he would be a guard with good length.
The newest commit adds to a pretty nice 2018 class for head coach Tim Miles. In addition to Davis, the Cornhuskers have guard Xavier Johnson and center Brady Heiman.
Both of those commits are also considered 3-star prospects and have contributed to one of the better classes in the last few years. According to 247Sports, Johnson is the 234th ranked player in the country, while Heiman is the 375th and Davis is the 329th.
The 2018 class is a follow up to a very good 2017 class that included Nana Akenten and Thomas Allen. Allen, in particular, has seen decent minutes off the bench for the Nebraska basketball team during this past season.
