As the college basketball season starts to hit its final turn until we wait until November for the next go-round, the college baseball season is about to take center stage. As is always the case, when it comes to this season, it’s always interesting to think about who has the most success and who has the most wins at the CWS?

The College World Series is always the goal for every team when the season’s first pitches are thrown. There are of course, programs that have more success than others getting to Omaha and then those that have more success than others once they get to Omaha.

Who has most the wins at the CWS?

It should surprise no one that the Texas Longhorns is the program that has the most wins at the College World Series. After all, it’s a program that has gone to the CWS more than most. And once they got there, they won 6 National Titles. The last one being in 2005. They also won in 2002, 1983, 1975, 1949, and 1950.

When it comes to who has the most wins at the CWS in terms of actual titles, that record belongs to the USC Trojans. That program was an absolutely juggernaut in the 1960s and 1970s.

USC won the whole thing in 1948, 1958, 1961, 1963, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1978 and 1998. Of course, that means the new Big Ten program doesn’t have a single title in the 21st century after racking up 12 in the 20th century.
