Make no mistake about it: The Nebraska football team looks like it’s still the front runner regarding Syracuse commit and vaunted EDGE prospect Kamron Wilson. However, after a recent visit to Orlando, the fight to land him could come down to Matt Rhule vs. the man he replaced in Lincoln.
Scott Frost and the UCF Knights have already snagged one commit from Rhule’s backyard. Now it looks like they’re coming after one of the top remaining targets on the Huskers' board. While Wilson isn’t an in-state target, it’s felt like he’s been close to being a Cornhusker for a couple of weeks now. Could UCF be staging one heck of an upset?
Kamron Wilson’s UCF visit tests Nebraska’s lead and fuels a Rhule-Frost recruiting face-off
Wilson clearly enjoyed his visit to UCF earlier this week. He posted several social media takes of his time in Orlando, including one picture of him wearing the Knights uniform. It’s that time of year for NU fans to get nervous about the guys who even look the most solid.

That a former Nebraska coach is the latest obstacle for securing Kamron Wilson’s commitment, however, just how much UCF can put a dent in the EDGE prospect's relationship with the Huskers coaches is anyone’s guess.

After all, the Nebraska football team recently released a video of the Florida target talking about how great he thinks it is that newly promoted defensive assistant coach Philip Simpson is trying to get him to Lincoln. Still, this one will be worth watching simply for the prospect of a Rhule vs. Frost showdown.
