Nebraska quarterback commit Trae Taylor is excited to play for the Huskers. He's also happy to try to get guys like Kennedy Brown to play with him and block for him.
Taylor was back in Lincoln for a massive recruiting weekend for Matt Rhule and company, not as a visitor per say, but as an ambassador. He's been doing a ton of peer recruiting while also putting up a heck of a junior season for his high school team.
According to Rivals' Greg Smith, Taylor and Brown were both checking all that Nebraska has to offer. Certainly, that means Memorial Stadium and gameday. It also means checking out the other sports it has to offer. Especially when one of those sports is a volleyball program that is both one of the best in the country and has a loyal fan base.
Trae Taylor leads Nebraska football recruiting push during visit weekend
According to Smith, Taylor was working overtime, not only recruiting the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2027 class and another high-priority OT, target Mason Halliman.
It seems that all three of them (and there's a safe bet it was a bigger crew than those three) took in the Huskers' volleyball game on Sunday against Arizona. Head coach Dani Busboom Kelly's Nebraska squad was closing out its non-conference slate with a perfect 10-0 record.
However, the match wasn't all that easy, which undoubtedly made the day that much more exciting. It also showed the prospects and the commit, who still won't be able to sign until December of 2026, just what they'll get if they decide to be Huskers.
Taylor has been quite vocal about his love for the Nebraska football program. He's shown that over and over. Including this past weekend.
