Things continue to look very, very positive for the Nebraska football team and 2027 quarterback commit Trae Taylor. The 4-star quarterback who committed to the Huskers earlier this spring has been vocal on social media about how excited he is to be part of the program and spend time in Lincoln even before he can officially become a Nebraska Cornhusker.
The latest sign of this was Taylor's quick report on X about his school year officially being done. The post also announced when he is next in Lincoln and gave a hint that when he does sign with Nebraska, he’ll also be an early enrollee and a Husker for the spring semester.

“Done for the summer, all A’s and 2 B’s,” the Nebraska football commit wrote. “On schedule to graduate a semester early. Now looking forward to heading to @HuskerFootball for a week. Then back home to prepare for my high school season. Hope to see much of Husker Nation Sunday. Be in Lincoln tomorrow #GBR”
The biggest news here is that he is graduating a semester early, though his coming to Lincoln for a camp next week is massive for recruiting purposes. Taylor will almost certainly be talking to other camp attendees about why he committed to Matt Rhule and company and why they should do the same.
That Taylor could presumably report to Lincoln right after National Signing Day in 2026 is also excellent news for Nebraska football fans, as he’ll be able to get to work immediately. That’s especially important because, should everything go right on the field, Dylan Raiola could be looking at jumping to the NFL after his junior year, and the Cornhuskers will need to find a new starting signal caller.
