It has certainly been quite the rivalry week for Nebraska football and every other program in the country. Things have been more than a little weird to the point where an argument over whether the Huskers should have shook Iowa's hands before the game quickly fell from the top story to 938th as Saturday went on.

Even Michigan's post game brawl with Ohio State after the Wolverines ended Ryan Day's career in Columbus (probably) took a backseat in some corners of the internet for the announcement that UCF head coach Gus Malzahn resigned his position in order to go be the offensive coordinator for the Florida State Seminoles.

Once the announcement was made official, it took no time at all for former Nebraska football head coach Scott Frost to get mentioned. Some mentions were serious, considering that's where he had his most success. And others were clearly in jest.

Hiding out just waiting to pounce.

Frost taking the head coaching job and hiring his old QB as a coach is attractive to some UCF fans.

The last vestiges of supremacy.

Scott Frost is the undertaker.

Maybe it's not that smart

While Nebraska football is getting ready for its first bowl game since before Frost was the head coach in Lincoln, the ex-Husker quarterback is currently working with the Los Angeles Rams as an analyst in what appears to be his first steps to get back into coaching. It seems extremely unlikely he'll get the job at UCF, but stranger things have happened.
