Predicting Nebraska's next 3 commitments after massive Jordan Agbanoma win

Nebraska might have just kicked off a recruiting heater that will see the Huskers charge back towards the top of the rankings for the 2027 class. On Wednesday, the addition of 4-star offensive lineman Jordan Agbanoma was a massive get for Geep Wade and Matt Rhule. It doesn't seem he's going to be anywhere close to the only commit in the next few months.

Following the Georgia lineman, the Cornhuskers could be positioned for a veritable flood of commitments. Late May and early June have become a period that almost feels like signing day, with many recruits wanting to lock things in before the summer quiet period and fall camps start.

So who might Nebraska manage to reel in? When exactly will they pull their respective triggers? When exactly the commitments might really start rolling in isn't totally clear, but there are a couple where it could be a couple of days. It seems unlikely that the Huskers will go the entire month of June without several new pledges.

KD Jones could be the next Nebraska football commit

It stands to reason that if Agbanoma does start a little flood of commitments, one of his high school teammates will be the first to pull the trigger. That's why KD Jones could be giving his pledge to the Cornhuskers any day now.

Jones isn't just Agbanoma's teammate; he's also his brother-in-arms on Grayson's offensive line. It would certainly be interesting to not only grab two players from the state of Georgia so quickly, but also from the same unit and the same school. Not long after Jones' teammate pulled the trigger for Nebraska, predictions that KD Jones would follow suit came in from several analysts. Jones isn't quite as highly touted as his teammate, but he is rated as the No. 37 IOL and No. No. 72 player in the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite ratings.

Jailen Hill could be another 4-star addition to Nebraska's defensive backfield

Speaking of predictions from analysts rolling in lately, it was just a month ago that 4-star defensive back Jailen Hill named the Huskers among his final five. At the same time, analysts began predicting that he would eventually give his pledge to NU.

Hill is the No. 23 safety and No. 20 player in the state of California according to 247Sports composite ratings. The defensive back has said he'll commit to his school of choice on June 9, so he really could be "the guy" after Jordan Agbanoma.

Nebraska could clean up at Grayson with Joey Hunter

There is a very real chance that Nebraska could grab three teammates from Grayson High in Loganville, Georgia. Olafemi "Joey" Hunter is yet another Husker target who appears to be leaning towards NU.

Hunter is a 3-star tight end who announced a top-five list earlier this week. In addition to Nebraska, he has Georgia Tech, Syracuse, NC State, and Pitt. Nebraska doesn't have a tight end committed in the class, so Rhule and Co. will almost certainly make a push. If they can get KD Jones, he and Agbanoma could be one heck of a one-two punch in peer recruiting.
