The Nebraska football team hopes its recruiting will heat up now that we’re headed toward the summer. They have a pretty massive couple of weeks coming up at the end of June, and they’re sitting pretty with quite a few players who came and visited them during spring practice.

One of the players where things could heat up quickly is Michael Terry III. Terry is being recruited as a wide receiver, running back, and defensive back depending on the school he’s being recruited by. That’s just part of the reason why he is ranked as the top athlete in the 2025 recruiting class.

Terry has been a popular recruit out of Texas, holding 22 scholarship offers. As a junior, he earned district MVP honors while rushing for 995 yards and 20 touchdowns and receiving for 564 yards and 10 scores.

Terry told On3 that he’s officially down to his final 4 teams and that Nebraska football is definitely in the mix. Though they still have some work to do. Alongside the Huskers, Texas A&M, Orego, and Texas are all in the running for his services.

Terry came up to Lincoln for the Huskers spring game and loved what he saw. It’s clear that visit is a big reason why he’s thinking about the Cornhuskers as his final landing spot. In fact, he’s gone on record saying that if he had to choose today, it would be Nebraska.

Terry now has upcoming official visits to Texas, Texas A&M and Oregon on the schedule. And he said that a “home feeling” will be a key factor in his decision, which could come in August. Once again, the program that has made him feel the most at home, has been Nebraska.
