June is almost certainly going to be a massive recruiting month for the Nebraska football team. And that was before the Huskers managed to secure an official visit from a wide receiver who is committed to a conference rival in Isaiah Mozee.

A ton of different prospects will take in the Huskers in the next couple of weeks. With 10 commits locked in for the 2025 class now, it’s possible they could damn near make everything official for the fall. And then it would just be a matter of keeping everyone together.

And then there’s Mozee. He’s a bit of a wild card. He’s someone Nebraska football would love to add to its class. But they’ll need to work a little magic to lock the 4-star pass catcher from Lee’s Summit down.

Mozee is currently a commitment to the Oregon Ducks. Despite that, he’s headed to Lincoln for an official visit. It’s also not the first time that Mozee has taken in what the Cornhuskers have to offer. It’s time to wonder if he might be starting to doubt his commitment.

If Mozee is having second thoughts, it’s certainly newsworthy. He only gave his pledge to the Ducks back in April. It appears he’s at least keeping his options open and taking a look around.

It’s no secret why NU has interest in the versatile pass catcher. As a junior, Mozee had 74 receptions for 1,033 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. He added nine carries for 158 yards, averaging 17.6 yards per carry, and two more touchdowns as a runner.

Even back when he committed to Oregon, Mozee had high praise for who the Huskers have at quarterback.

“Like, okay you got Dylan [Raiola], That opens your eyes a little bit. They are changing something. Even the backup, Daniel [Kaelin], he’s pretty good, saw him in person. So seeing the direction they’re going and seeing they’re changing, showing progress in recruiting and everything.”

It’s possible that as things get closer and closer to signing day, getting to play with guys like that is helping Nebraska football more and more. The official visit is a chance for Matt Rhule and company to make some noise and shake things up.
