While things have been relatively quiet for the Nebraska football team when it comes to recruiting in the last few weeks, things could heat up quickly. June is going to be a big month for the Cornhuskers. A ton of top targets will be in Lincoln and there’s a chance that commits could follow those visits.

Two promising prospects from Texas are on the radar of the Nebraska football team. These players, who are showing strong signs of leaning towards the Cornhuskers, could potentially be valuable additions to the team.

Nebraska football looking to lock in a pair of Texas prospect in June

Rahim Hutchins Jr., a wide receiver from Shadow Creek High in Pearland, Texas, announced his top three of Nebraska, Houston and Memphis earlier this week. It’s hard to imagine with that group, that if the Huskers turn up the recruiting heat, they won’t be able to beat out teams that are struggling win five games a year.

Rahim Hutchins Jr., a standout wide receiver from Shadow Creek High in Pearland, Texas, is one of the official visitors scheduled to be in Nebraska on June 21. Last year, he made 17 catches for 378 yards, showcasing his prowess on the field. Standing at 6 feet and weighing 160 pounds, he brings serious athleticism to the table, as evidenced by his recent impressive long jump of 23-6.

Nebraska football  was also listed in the top six for defensive back Bryson Webber of Missouri City, Texas. He's visiting Lincoln on June 21 too.

Those top schools, besides the Huskers include TCU, Baylor, Kansas, Utah, and Oregon State. Webber plans to visit all of them over the next few weeks. It’s thought the defensive back will pull the trigger sometime in July.

"Seeing how a lot of my friends have real close connections with Nebraska's staff, I know Rahim, he's a receiver who goes to Shadow Creek, he talks real highly about Nebraska as well," Webber recently told 247Sports. "So seeing how it has a big place in a lot of my friends' hearts just shows they really value Texas."

The Nebraska football team has made going after Texas prospects a massive part of their recruiting approach since Matt Rhule arrived in Lincoln. Those efforts could be paying off this summer in a big way.
