When discussing Nebraska football recruiting efforts, fans have focused largely on offensive tackle David Sanders. However, several other big prospects are in Lincoln right now, including Dayton Raiola and Isaiah Mozee, an Oregon wide receiver commit.

While Husker fans want David Sanders bad, they also want Mozee, and for now at least, it looks like NU is officially expected to steal the Kansas City pass catcher away from the Ducks. Considering the kind of recruiting cycle Oregon’s Dan Lanning has had, that’s quite the accomplishment.

Nebraska football on the verge of stealing 4-star receiver from conference rival

Just ahead of the big weekend, Mike Schaefer of 247Sports put in a Crystal Ball for Mozee to flip to the Nebraska football team. This isn’t a total shock, but it is the kind of recruiting coup that could kick-start a very interesting early fall.

It’s worth pointing out that Mozee to NU isn’t a done deal by any stretch. Schaefer’s confidence level is only medium. As analysts go, he’s got a less-than-impressive 75 percent all time. However, he’s currently 6-for-6 on 2025 recruits.

There has also been a feeling that the Huskers might flip the 4-star prospect for a while now. NU just hired his father, Jamar Mozee as an assistant. Oregon also has several WR commits. It’s possible Isaiah has rethought his position.

It’s unlikely that the switch is coming this weekend. He’ll likely wait until a bit later into the fall. But what is clear is that after going through a period where they were losing recruiting battles over and over, things could be looking up.

In addition to making some serious progress on David Sanders, the Nebraska football team could be getting closer to landing a 2026 quarterback in Dylan Raiola’s brother and a top of the line wide receiver. Hard to be anything other than excited right now.
