Nebraska football still among leaders for top transfer WR
Now that the Nebraska football team has gotten the best quarterback commit of the modern era in Dylan Raiola, it's time for Matt Rhule and company to really start building for the future. It's time for them to add some more pieces to the roster.
As it turns out, the Huskers could still be in line to grab one of the best transfer wide receivers in the portal. The Cornhuskers are still considered among the favorites to haul in former Ohio State wide receiver Julian Fleming.
According to Rivals' Zack Carpenter, Fleming is still considering the Nebraska football team as a possible landing spot. The receiver hasn't chosen a team yet and it's not clear when he will. What is clear is that when he took a visit to Lincoln earlier this month, what the Huskers had to offer impressed him and his family.
Not long after Fleming visited Nebraska, his grandfather talked to HuskerOnline about what had impressed his family the most and it turns out, they felt as though the Cornhuskers' facilities were a cut above the rest. That's saying something when you consider he went to Ohio State. It's safe to say the Buckeyes' facilities are anything to sneeze at.
Nebraska football still in the running for Julian Fleming
There had been some thought that after Kyle McCord decided to go to Syracuse, that the chance of either parts of the potential package deal Nebraska football fans were hoping for earlier in the month was over. It seems as though McCord going to Syracuse, a place Fleming has no interest in going, might keep the door open for the Huskers.
In the long run, it might be race to the finish line for Nebraska football and Penn State. Where other receivers go, like Miami transfer WR Colbie Young could decide everything.
Should Nebraska football manage to land Julian Fleming, it would be a heck of a get to pair with its shiny new 5-star quarterback recruit.
