The Nebraska football team looks like they might be about to officially haul in a top defensive recruiting target. In fact, it’s entirely possible considering the little hints Husker coaches have been giving this week that they already have.

Even if he isn’t officially in the fold for the Cornhuskers, it looks like Matt Rhule and company might have landed Kade Pietrzak. The 4-star defensive lineman has been predicted to commit to Nebraska in the not too distant future.

Should Pietrzak pull the trigger in the next few days or weeks, it would be one of the biggest gets for the Nebraska football team this cycle. The 6-foot-5 240 pound prospect out of West Fargo, North Dakota is being pursued by some of the biggest programs in the college football world.

Nebraska football could pull off commitment from North Dakota’s top prospect

On3’s Bryan Munson is just one of the recruiting experts that believes the Cornhuskers will land the defensive lineman when all is said and done. The even better news is that Kansas State insider Derek Young joined Munson in that prediction.

Pietrzak has taken three visits to Nebraska this year alone, making trips in January and March before returning for a June 14 official visit. While the coveted lineman has kept his cards close to the vest throughout his recruitment, it’s clear that there’s plenty of mutual interest between the Huskers and himself.

In addition to the Huskers and Kansas State, the talented prospect is being sought by Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Iowa, Florida State and many others.

Not long after the predictions from the On3 analysts came in, a couple defensive line coach Terrance Knighton posted a few tweets that usually mean the Nebraska football team secured a commitment. It would certainly seem most likely that they got Pietrzak. Now it’s about making sure he makes it public and stays that way all the way to December.
