Nebraska football coaches and players poised to address media ahead of camp

Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

The Nebraska football team officially kicks off fall camp this week and before things really get rolling, several of the coaches, as well as a group of players will address the media over the course of the day on Tuesday.

There is obviously quite a bit of excitement around this season and after what feels like an incredibly long offseason, we’re finally basically here. It’s getting closer to put up or shut up time for the Huskers.

All the talk about how good the Nebraska football team should be can be put away. In a little over a month, NU will play its first game against UTEP, and we’ll get to see some of the many questions surrounding the team answered—or at least start to get answered.

Nebraska football kicks off fall camp with press conferences on Tuesday

Tuesday morning is certainly going to be interesting. Things will start off with a bang and then they don’t really stop for several hours. Matt Rhule will kick things off at 10am on Tuesday and will speak for a good 15 or 20 minutes.

Despite him already answering a ton of questions at Big Ten Media Days, it’s a safe bet that he’ll have quite a bit more to say. Some of that might not be great. It’s worth pointing out that last year about this time, he told us that wide receiver Marcus Washington was starting fall camp with a cast on.

Around 10:25am, Marcus Satterfield will address the media, followed by Defensive Coordinator Tony White at 10:35. Special Teams Coordinator Ed Foley will then take questions around 10:45 am.

After a brief break, the player groups will start to meet with the media, with player group 1 going from 11 to 11:20, then group 2 going from 11:20 to 11:40 and the last group going from 11:40 to noon.

After that, things really get going and the Nebraska football team preps for the start of the 2024 season.
