Now that the Nebraska football fall camp is in full swing, several players are catching many eyes. Dylan Raiola is, of course, one of them, but there's also a young player on the defensive side of the ball who keeps getting shoutouts from his teammates and his coaches.

Freshman cornerback Amare Sanders has spent much of this week getting quite a bit of love from members of the Huskers. When the Big Ten Network came to town, that love fest continued.

When BTN personalities talked to Nebraska football defensive coordinator Tony White and linebacker John Bullock, both men mentioned the former 3-star defensive back out of the blue.

"You've got Amare Sanders, who's showing out right now," White said after also talking about Ceyair Wright as someone who has impressed him the last few weeks.

The BTN hosts asked Bullock the same question during his interview alongside defensive lineman Nash Hutmacher. Sanders was the first name sixth-year senior mentioned.

"I could say a lot of guys on defense," Bullock said. "You've got Amare Sanders, who's stepping up really big."

The comments shouldn't be all that surprising. Sanders picked off Heinrich Haarberg during the open practice so that fans could watch.

White said earlier this week that Sanders is competing to be high up on the depth chart. He could be one of those buys that helps out as Blye Hill gets back to 100 percent. Or until Wright figures out the Blackshirt defense.

"Amare Sanders is a guy who's really standing out among those young guys and getting a lot of reps at corner," the second-year Nebraska football defensive coordinator said earlier this week during his press conference.

Amare Sanders has received a lot of notice so far this camp. He's one of those guys who will surprise as the season approaches.
