Things didn't work out all that well at Nebraska for Wan'Dale Robinson. However, things are taking off for him in the NFL. The wide receiver just signed a new contract with the Tennessee Titans that saw him rake in a bunch of cash commensurate with the stats he's put up the last few years with the New York Giants.

The fifth-year slot receiver will reunite with Brian Daboll in Tennessee, The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports. Daboll was fired in the middle of the season by the Giants last fall and was hired as the Titans' offensive coordinator this winter.

Robinson agreed to terms on a four-year, $70 million deal. The contract can max out at $78 million if the former Nebraska and Kentucky football star hits certain incentives. This will reward the 5-foot-8 target after a 1,000-yard contract year while giving Cam Ward a wideout familiar with Daboll's offense.

Wan'Dale Robinson's $70 million deal is the latest reminder of what Nebraska football lost under Scott Frost

After a slow start to his NFL career, Robinson has taken off the last two seasons. In his rookie campaign, he had 23 catches for 227 yards and 1 touchdown. The next season, he had 60 catches for over 500 yards, and the last two years, he's posted 93 and 92 receptions. He did all that with some rather uneven quarterback play, which has to be a big upside for Ward and the Titans.

Robinson was one of the biggest recruits that former Nebraska football coach Scott Frost landed during his time in Lincoln. As a true freshman, the Kentucky native caught 40 passes for 453 yards while also rushing 88 times for 340 yards and 5 total touchdowns. The following season, he put up similar numbers, but it became clear he wasn't happy with how the Huskers were using him.

He transferred to his home-state Wildcats for his junior year and showed off his breakout skills, hauling down 104 catches for 1,334 and 7 touchdowns. He then departed for the NFL and is now raking in some serious cash.

Unfortunately for Nebraska football fans, it looks like Wan'Dale Robinson made the right decision getting away from the Frost regime, and it's paying off big time in the NFL now.
