Wan'Dale Robinson may not have finished his college career with Nebraska, but that doesn't mean he didn't put up plenty of flashy numbers. He's also put up plenty of flashy numbers for the New York Giants.

Those numbers include 11 catches for 113 yards in the Giants' penultimate game of the season. In the process, he surpassed the 1,000-yard barrier and, considering his small stature, managed to make some impressive NFL history on Sunday.

The former Nebraska Cornhusker and Kentucky Wildcat has logged 1,014 yards in 2026. Measuring just around 5-foot-8, he's just the third player since the AFL-NFL merger who is that short and still managed to rack up more than 1,000 receiving yards.

From Nebraska Cornhuskers to Sundays: Wan’Dale Robinson’s evolution

Robinson is also the first player to accomplish that feat since Richard Johnson did so for the Detroit Lions in 1989.

Since joining the Giants in 2022, Robinson has shown that, despite being unusually short for players at his position, he can be a workhorse for his team. After catching just 23 passes in his rookie season, he caught 60 in 2023.

Last year, he set a career high in receptions with 93. This year, he's sitting at 92 and will have a chance to break the 100-reception barrier when the Giants finish off a rocky season against the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday.

Robinson certainly showed off the talent to become this kind of NFL player in his college days. With Nebraska, he had 40 catches for 453 yards as a freshman. He was also a slash player, running the ball 88 times for 340 yards.

The following season, he recorded 51 catches for 461 yards while rushing 46 times for 240 yards. After the 2020 season, he transferred from Nebraska to Kentucky, where he capped his college career with 104 catches for 1,334 yards.
