Matt Rhule and the Nebraska football team were already planning on having the weekend of the Huskers Games be pretty big, recruiting-wise. And then one of their top 2027 targets announced he would be in town as well.
In the process it would certainly seem as though the Cornhuskers are coming that much closer to landing one of the best quarterbacks in his class. Especially since the most recent visit will be just days before he pulls the trigger for his commitment.
Trae Taylor adds last-minute Nebraska football visit ahead of decision
On Thursday morning, Nebraska’s top quarterback target, Trae Taylor announced that he had just decided on a last-minute trip to Lincoln this weekend. That would have been good news even if he isn’t expected to name his college landing spot on May 1. But with the trip to Lincoln coming on April 26, one has to think he might let Rhule and the rest of the coaches know he wants to be a Husker when he’s in town.

Taylor has given a vibe that he might be leaning towards the Nebraska football team for quite a while now. He started it by talking in glowing terms about the Husker coaches and he’s only continued to do that as the process has gone on. Now he might be about to pull the trigger with this previously unannounced unofficial visit one final time before his commit date.
