As the Nebraska football team turns the page to the 2025 season, it appears that they have one heck of a catch on their roster. And it just so happens that he certainly has the ability to make a catch.
The Huskers fought hard in order to land Cortez Mills. It appears that he showed just why NU wanted the pass catcher this weekend. He stepped out for the Navy All-American game on Saturday but before that, he went and showed everyone what Matt Rhule and company got when they signed the Florida product.
The Nebraska football signee drew rave reviews for the way he played against some of the best prospects in his class. And showed why the Huskers stealing him away from Oklahoma was such a big deal.

Mills was a four-star prospect from Homestead High School. While he was limited to five games as a senior, recording 466 receiving yards and six touchdowns he showed the ability to be a game changer last year as a junior, when he had 79 receptions for 1,640 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Rivals was certainly impressed with the way that Mills was performing. Its social media account posted a short video of the wideout looking like someone who could be a real problem in the years to come.
Another clip from Rivals showed the Nebraska wide receiver making an easy catch. Still, the account said that he would soon be a star.
Analyst Tim Verghese was equally effusive about Mills showing several different clips of the Huskers' signee doing what he does best.
Verghese also showed a clip of Mills burning the man tasked with covering him, on a deep route.
Another analyst, Sam Spiegelman showed yet another clip of the Cornhuskers newest acquisition making plays all over the field.
The Nebraska football team clearly landed itself a very talented player. Fans should be quite excited to see what he can do this spring and then of course, next fall.
