As the Nebraska football team continues to put one of the best recruiting classes in the 2027 cycle together, guys like Kaden Howard want in on the action. In fact, Howard has at least two visits planned to see Lincoln up close and personal, one of those an official visit.

Things are moving fast between the 3-star wide receiver and the Huskers. He was officially offered just a month ago. Now he's told On3's Bryan Munson that he'll check out Matt Rhule's program up close and personal next week. He'll follow that up with an official visit in June.

Those plans appear to put Nebraska in the lead for the blazing fast pass catcher. Howard recently ran a 4.41 at a Rivals Camp Series event. Those kinds of numbers make it obvious why NU is going hard after the 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect.

Kaden Howard schedules two visits with Nebraska football in 2027 recruitment

While the Cornhuskers are clearly a frontrunner, the race is far from over. Just a few weeks ago, the wide receiver named his top seven programs. Nebraska, Louisville, Missouri, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, and Minnesota are all considered finalists.

Howard has the ability to play both wide receiver and defensive back at the next level. Still, he is primarily being recruited by the Huskers and other schools as a wide receiver. Still, it's clear his ability to make plays on both sides of the ball is one of the reasons so many Power 4 programs.

Still, Nebraska has a chance to show Kaden Howard why they are the team he should choose when he checks out spring practice next week. Hopefully, his June official visit will only cement that and lead to another 2027 class commit.
