Nebraska football might be smack dab in the middle of spring practice, but that doesn't mean that Matt Rhule and his staff are ignoring recruiting. In fact, according to one recruiting analyst, they've made some real progress with Kaden Howard and Barrett Kittrell.
On3's Tim Vergehese was busy towards the end of February, putting in official predictions for both Howard and Kittrell to commit to the Huskers. While it's possible neither is all that close to pulling the trigger yet, the analyst believes at some point they'll both be welcome additions to a 2027 class that's already among the best in the country.
On February 24, Verghese made predictions for both players. Now it's all a matter of Nebraska closing the deal and getting commitments from the pair of talented players.
Kaden Howard and Barrett Kittrell predictions give Nebraska football's 2027 class a boost
Howard is a 3-star athlete according to the Rivals Industry Rankings, who doesn't have a ton of Power 4 teams coming after him. Still, he is gaining more attention. In addition to the Huskers, Mississippi State, Louisville, and Minnesota are the most prominent programs to give the 5-foot-10, 160-pound athlete out of Miami, Palmetto (FLA), who projects to most schools as a blazing fast wide receiver.
Kittrell is also a 3-star prospect who mans the interior offensive line for Ashland-Greenwood (NE). He's considered the No. 6 player in Nebraska and the No. 75 IOL according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.
While Nebraska waits for either player to pull the trigger, the Huskers can continue working towards the 2026 season and continue to improve their 2027 recruiting class.
