Just a few weeks before EA Sports College Football 26 is released, Nebraska football fans are plenty excited about all the things they'll be able to do with the new version of the game, including prowling the sidelines as Matt Rhule. However, fans were a little annoyed with Tuesday's reveals, which showed the first look at a virtual NU head coach. However, the school had the last laugh with a rather epic troll.

EA Sports rolled out looks at several aspects of this year's version of Dynasty Mode, including real coaches for the first time since the franchise came back. However, for now, at least, several of those virtual coaches share only a passing resemblance to the real thing. Rhule's video game likeness was especially ... off, and NU had some fun with the situation.

"You vs. the guy she told you not to worry about," the Nebraska football program posted on X. Alongside the caption was a picture of the version of Rhule currently part of EA Sports College Football 26. Under that was a picture of the real-life Rhule in a recruiting photo that went viral earlier in the week.

That wasn't the only thing some Husker fans thought was a joke.

In addition to the video game coaches, the developers also released their first list of the "Toughest Places to Play." For the second straight year, the Huskers were not included in the Top 25 toughest stadiums.

While EA has a point, considering how bad the Nebraska football program has been over the years, the posting angered enough fans that NU likely felt even more justified in trolling EA Sports for their work on the game so far.
